Hello, I’m Craig - eating disorder and body image therapist.
With 20 years of behaviour-change, management, and therapy experience across the NHS, charities, and private sector, I'm a qualified therapist dedicated to supporting individuals facing eating disorders and body image issues. I’m also a certified Eating Disorder Practiction with the National Centre for Eating Disorders (NCFED).
My approach is relational, meaning-centred, and integrative and I have expertise working with other issues which might also be getting in the way, such as anxiety, grief, life transitions, depression, neurodivergence, and trauma.
Having overcome my own eating disorder and body dysmorphia, I understand the courage it takes to seek and receive help. My passion lies in offering online therapy across the UK and worldwide to help people overcome eating disorders, body image issues, and to lead meaningful, fulfilling lives
My Approach
My work is relational and meaning-centred. This means I don’t offer a one-size-fits-all approach, instead taking your experience seriously rather than trying to fit it into a programme or set of techniques. Many people who work with me have had those approaches previously and either not found them helpful or too short-lived.
I work with you to understand what your eating difficulties have been doing for you, how they may have helped you cope, regulate, feel safe, or survive something difficult. Letting go of these behaviours can feel challenging, and so we work together to support you in doing what feels difficult and risky. Therapy is less about forcing behaviour change and more about creating the conditions so that change can happen and be sustained.
While my work is not technique-led, I draw on elements of different therapy approaches where they may genuinely be helpful for you in moving forwards. My approaches include:
Person-centred therapy
Meaning-centred psychotherapy (logotherapy and existential analysis)
Selected aspects of CBT-E and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I work with adults experiencing a range of eating and body-related difficulties, including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, orthorexia, body dysmorphia, and issues that don’t fit neatly into a diagnosis. The emphasis is not on labels or trying to fit you into a box, but on helping you move towards a life that feels more liveable, fulfilling, and meaningful.
