About Me

I’m a qualified and accredited counsellor and psychotherapist with 18 years’ experience in behaviour-change services and mental health services across the NHS, charity, and private sector.

I specialise in helping adults and teenagers (16+) with eating disorders, body image issues, and a range of other difficulties getting in the way of living a meaningful, purposeful life. This includes existential issues such as grief, loss, life transitions, depression, and trauma. I have also completed specialised training and qualified as an Eating Disorder Practitioner with the National Centre for Eating Disorders (NCFED).

Through my own personal experience in overcoming an eating disorder and body dysmorphia, I understand how difficult it can be to ask for help and to get the right help.

My passion is in providing both online therapy and walk and talk therapy to help others live a meaningful life.

My Approach

My approach is integrative, which means I have trained in a number of models of therapy. On top of my formal education, I have nearly 15 years of meditation and mindfulness practice, specialised eating disorder training, and training in a range of evidence-based interventions which allow me to tailor treatment to your individual needs.

As a counsellor/psychotherapist, my training and experience have allowed me to develop a practice which is focused on helping you overcome your challenges to live a life of meaning and purpose.

My approach combines Western models of psychotherapy and Buddhist Psychology, drawing upon:

  • Person-Centred Counselling

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
