I'm Craig, an accredited counsellor/therapist specialising in eating disorders and body image. I bring my advanced training and years of clinical experience in helping others, as well as personal experience of overcoming an eating disorder and body dysmorphia.
Whatever your food issues are, there is a way forward.
Eating disorders and disordered eating appear in a lot of different ways. They aren’t just about food and you don’t need to have had a diagnosis to get help. Some of the people I work with experience a range of issues including:
Bingeing in secret, promising themselves tomorrow will be different only for the cycle to start again
Restricting, dieting, or following rigid food rules
Purging through vomiting, exercise, or other compensatory behaviours to “make up” for food eaten
Eating only a small range of foods, avoiding different foods or food groups and not necessarily being able to explain why
Hating their body and feeling constantly distressed by it
